Background
Leila is a native to Germany, and has lived a fascinating life moving from place to place, currently residing in Chicago USA. I met her through a mutual friend, and we began to collaborate once discovering our shared love of music. This project is the result of our first project together.
Music Production
Leila had come into our first session with only some chords in hand. I handled the recording process front-to-back, including instrumentation and arrangement as she wrote and performed the lyrics, which I then recorded as well, followed by a process of mixing and mastering.
Video Production
I directed, filmed, and performed in the music video based on Leila's intention regarding the mood and aesthetic of the song, doing so on a beach in Chicago over the span of a single evening. I then edited the video in collaboration with Leila.
The final product
Proud of this effort, and excited to continue to collaborate with Leila in the future.
